ROSEDALE

For over 100 years, Rosedale has held the distinction of being Toronto's most valued address.

WELCOME TO ROSEDALE

Rosedale began when Sherrif William Botsford Jarvis, and his wife Mary, settled on a homestead here in the 1820's. It was Mary Jarvis who came up with the Rosedale name, as a tribute to the profusion of wild roses that graced the hillsides of the Jarvis estate. Surrounded by beautiful ravines and parkland, Rosedale feels far away from the city, while in reality only a few minutes from Toronto's major business, retail and shopping districts.

The winding streets showcase the Victorian, Georgian, Tudor and Edwardian-style mansions that were built between 1860 and 1930. Many of these homes are listed as Historical Heritage Properties, preserving the architectural beauty that is Rosedale. In the south end of the neighbourhood, a number of condominiums and co-operative buildings offer large-format living while a new wave of ultra-luxury residences is emerging.
